    Poem Commentary

    This is about my husband who has died with cancer we were saying our goodbyes at the time

    I Remember You

    I remember as you put on a brave face
    We laughed a little here in this place

    We said our goodbyes didn't want you to die 
    But it was out of our hands your just a man

    God knows best he gave you your rest
    We still feel the pain when we think of you again

    A longing deep inside that our faces cant hide
    Going on every day in the usual way 

    Now an empty space we move on with God's grace
    We still shed a tear when we think of you here

    And all you went through there was nothing we could do

    Every day we were slowly  losing you


    You family gathered and made a big fuss
    They couldn't do enough for us


    Thank God for them all they answered the call
    They stayed with you until your fall

    love this poem... it almost made me tear up. it also made me think about my great grand mother (R.I.P.)
