I See You
Blinded by Love
You were a Beautiful Sight
Once the Dream was over
You were a dangerous sight
You expected me to be like the rest
To close you out
To view you as a Villain, after the fact
But I’m not like any other you’ve ever known
I once saw you through the Heart
And it was impossible to see any fla’s in you
Impossible to read you while completely taken by you
You’ve taught me a lot
In the short time we shared
One being
Don’t make somebody a priority in your life
When your only an option in theirs
Now, no longer blinded by the Heart
I see you with my eye’s
Now I see
What you’ve told me from the beginning
A women still learning herself
And the ways of the Heart and Life
Your Heart doesn’t know
Just yet
How to let somebody in
That’s why in the past
Or present
It was impossible to focus on just one Heart
At a time
Easier to push away
Than to let in
Easier to sneak around
Another’s bed
Than to stay
At just ones side
Options gave you control
Leaving a trail of tears and angry Hearts
In your path
You needed to see your options
Feel the difference
No wrong in that
We all have to learn
Just don’t agree
With your methods
There’s better ways
But your still a student of life
Learning the ways of
Love
You’ve got forever to find Love
And you act like it
I hope I’ve been able to teach you
At least one valuable lesson
About Love
Through this all
At least you have
My Gratitude
My Respect
My Care
My Friendship
And a piece of my Heart
That last one
Being of course the most valuable
Take Care
Happy Trails
Through your Urban Jungles
