I Still Got It

It's been a while,
This is true,
But poetry must appear
If my credit is due.
I tell others I don't do much,
Which is me in a shell,
But, time to start typing,
Ah what the Hell.

Let's the collect the stanzas
And decide on meter,
Or I could go free verse,
And be a cheater.
Let's do that, I'm feeling lazy.
Check my verse this shit is crazy. 

Time to rock n roll
No time to droll.
How to get my message across,
Without being cross?
I could go for glittery metaphor
Or analogys grand.
But that's not really me,
My style's it own brand.

Here we go, almost there.
Couple more steps, gotta remember
Not to fall down the stairs.
Haters gonna hate but I don't care.
I'll picture them in their underwear,
And laugh.
Need to collect my thoughts
Into metronome
Hoping no one's forgot this.
I can rhyme in time to beat
Or measure,
Giving me catharthic pleasure.
