Poem Commentary

Of a life once lived but now gone remembering only bits i sought to know today

I was not Bore of this Day

I was not bore of this day
It was a day when we had to work to live
To work to eat
I sought out the memories i once knew
Seeking inner peace in while i stand barefooted
Apon the forset floor
The day when smoke did not fill the city sky
A day when we all sought to fight to live
I was not bore of this day
Yet today is now
And yesterday was my past life
I seek the wisdom i once knew
Yet I shall live today
And dont let my loss of yester
Wary me much
For i only long for the simple comfort I once knew

Reallllly well written on your part, to me it sounds like lyrics to a new top song!!! Hope to read more soon! ShadowStealer

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
