I will stand firm

I will stand firm

i thought that my defences were strong
i thought that they would hold
against your forces

wasn't this what i prepared for
with years training
with finest steal
and the best armor
money can buy

i was also trained to hide my fear
and everything it held

i thought that i could with hold
against your forces

but you saw right through it
i never had a chance
cause you know me better
than i know my self

so i stand weak against your
strong defences

you stand right in front of me
taunting me

i want to fight back but i know for the
health of both of us
i cant

if it was anyone else i would fight back
and not stand here like a punching bag

but i will stand and stand firm
taking the blows
like you taught me
