I Wish

Poem Commentary

Sometimes this is how I feel.

I Wish

I wish you health.
I wish you innner peace.
I wish you light for the places
too dark to see.

I wish you wisdom.
I wish you well.
I wish you flowers
in the places you have fell.

I wish I could tell you
what I really feel inside.
I wish I could face you,
instead, I hide.

I wish you love,
and health from disease.
And to all the locked doors,
I wish you a key.

I wish you patients.
I wish you strength.
I wish you conscience
to go that extra length.

I wish you happiness.
But above all this,
when you finally find her,
I wish you a kiss.

Nice ending. I like this line: I wish I could tell you what I really feel inside. I wish I could face you, instead, I hide.

"I wish you light for the places too dark to see." — I love this line! "when you finally find her, I wish you a kiss" — oh, my! You are real, very, very real.

Thank you very much. All feedback means a lot to me. :)

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
