I Woke Up This Morning.

I woke up this morning with yawns of greatfullness,
And stared through my window at the lush green forest,
Seeing nature this morning is just such a delight,
As the dews stop falling at the end of dieing night.

A beautiful day began, the sun shone in as my curtains blew,
With glowing yellow beams in my windows through and through,
Let me not forget Lord to give thanks to you,
For allowing me see this golden day and to make life anew!

Never forget to give thanks to the one who woke you up!
remember should he not sustain you, you dare not lift a cup,
My eyelids move, I shed a tear, a sign that my senses are alive,
And look at those children in the pool as they danced and dived!

It's just that we're ungreatful Lord of your many cares,
That we've received from you through all the trying years,
And here You have woken us to see another day,
And look how astonishing it has been, forgetting just to pray.

Thanks again Master that I've made a big yawn today,
give me of lifes challenges so I'll always pray.
I dare not want to forget what you done for me,
That I'll not be ungreatful and speak irreverently.

Let me Lord remember, to show you thankfulness each day,
That as I wake up always, I'll give thanks and pray.
