If Ever True Love

    If Ever True Love

    Even in anothers arms

I will only think of you

In another’s eyes I will only see you

You’re the only one I’ve ever loved

    Yes I still love you

    I always have

This is for true love, this is for you

I never forgot the moments we shared

    They’re my favorite memories

    Everything was perfect

Up till the moment you left

But I still love you, I always will

    I can’t help it

Even if I didn’t want to

    So what happened

    I’ll never know

All I know is you have my Heart

I was expecting you to Love me the same

    And when you didn’t

I went out looking for Love in you

Like a warrior searching for scalps

Love cannot be forced in another

It is a gift on wings of grace

    Served with passion and care

    Flowing with compassion and trust

    I am just me

    A man who loved you

A man who wanted to fight for your Heart

    I guess in the end

    Fate has better

    Planned for my Heart

I ride alone into the sunset

But it will not always be this way

One day I will be blessed

    One day I will find

    True Love

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.
