If only for moments
If only for moments when I held your hand or touched your cheek, would feel the rapture that lovers often seek, and to see that smile of wondered bliss, as I brushed your lips with a tender kiss.
If only for moments when I held you close, would feel your tender heart beat within your breast, and heard that hurried breath and sensed the scent of your perfume as you nestled your head to my chest.
If only for moments I knew that feeling of love so true, then for a lifetime I would cherish the memories of those moments spent with you.
