    IF ONLY IN MY DREAMS

     I dreamed of him today,
    no face did he have that i can say,
    we meet with our eyes, he came to me,
    only his eyes was i allowed to see,
    he came to me and took my hand,
    oh how grand it was for me to feel such love and comfort,
    if only in my dream.
    he comforted me and kissed me with his soft invisible lips,
    please dont let me wake from this fantasy of mine,
    for i will never find such a man as he,
    but for only in my dreams.
    i have never felt so at ease, but in his soft but strong embrace he has me,
    if i awake before i see his face, there will be no real man on this place,
    but for only in my dreams,
    oh how i wish this was not a dream,
    but i wish it could be reality, but it is only in my dreams.

    This poem has a nice rhyming pattern and is filled with many strong emotions.I really like it.,but do not agree with your thoughts in the last line.When the time is right,you will meet someone like this and experience the reality of such wonderful love.

    Very nice Snow, I like your style. It's very similar to mine, in some respects. But different, too. Check out my poems Once in a Dream and Bouquet. I think you'll see what I'm talking about. This flows nicely and definitely makes you think. Dreams are wonderful sources of material for poetry. The mind at sleep can conjour up some interesting things. My problem is that I have trouble remembering my dreams. If only I had written them down.... K

    was this a real dream? many poets take their reality to create a fantasy. and some take their fantasies to create a reality. Which is your writing style? I'm always curious.
