    If Only

If only for one more night, his body I could embrace.
If only for one more night, I'd kiss the most handsomest face.
If only for one more night, we'd share our love the whole night through.
If only for one more night, whatever his request, I would do.

If only for one more night, I could hold onto his grip and not let go.
If just this one night, time stood still, and went very slow.
If only for one more night, my fears, he'd shoo them away.
If only for one more night, I so selfishly prayed.

If only for one more night, we'd feel young, like yesteryear.
If only for one more night, whispering what-nots in each others ears., Because on this night, the tears that we shed, of our momentous memories, the beginning of our journey in life, on the day we wed.

If only for one more night, I'd tell you again and again. I love you, I love you, I love you! My husband, the love of my life! My best friend.

If we could only have one more day, one more hour, one more minute, just that one more time. It is with much sadness that I know those feelings so well and yet we will alayws hold them tight in our hearts!

Words can be very poweful, words without meaning are just words, your words show passion and love. Thumbs up

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
