Ignorance

Ignorance

They use it to control me
They think I’ll never learn
They keep me in the dark

Little do they know
I have a flashlight
I put the pieces together
To form the full picture

The Earth is round
The sun is the center
They think I don’t know
But hey I found out

They all run in circles
To keep a little secret
They’re the ignorant ones
Because they don’t know
I found out

Rhymer commented on Ignorance

Knowledge gained is a wonderful treasure. 10 from me on this excellent write.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
