    I'm Glad I am Here!

     At last I'm in a place of peace and comfort.
    Where friends are more than just a sort.
    They mean so much to me that words can't compare.
    Their soft spoken kindness is felt with settled care.
    Their Hands held in friendship and endured to be dear.
    The new path they have placed me upon as they stay near.
    Hard times feel upon us and they shunned us not...
    Never leaving us in the cold or outside to rot.
    So in return we gave them back our honest human hearts.
    The same that was earned was gifted from this start.
    So spoiled I feel here this time in my blessed life.
    So spoiled as well by a husband whom loves his wife.
    As friends walk beside us in our pathways;I'm glad I am here.
    A journey that is felt in my day staying close and dear.
    One day never forgotten and the day is not feared.
    For this friendship lays in my heart felt deeply with the  joy of tears.
    Leave the open wind upon your cheek forever  like a keepsake love..
    For the Lord you seek has not forgotten you;He is just above.

    The whole thing is really good. But my favorite part is how you added God in the last line. As He read this...I am sure He smiled. Smart girl!

    Also...it interests me, how you said "For the Lord you seek..." Many think that He is just always there to bestow favors on them weather they seek Him, or not. Not so! The bible says: "Seek the Lord while He may be found...call upon Him while He is near..." This gives one the assumption that He might not always be perched upon our shoulder like a lucky charm...you know?

    Friends are the best Gift we can give to Ourselves..whether near or far...we laugh & cry....it is whom they are that gives friendships roots & wings that makes life complete..they just seem to balance everything out...thank you friend for this beautiful wrapped package ..you have such an amazin' heart...your soul reflects its shine......
