I'm In Your Hands

I'm In Your Hands

I’m in Your hands, I’m in Your hands.

Lord, I traveled on this path…
Started a boy, continuing as a man…
I’ve lost all that I own,
But feel happy to know…that I’m still…
In Your hands, I’m in Your hands.
Guided by your light, righteousness in my sight.
I’ve seen other avenues,
But none shine as bright.
One wrong turn and I’ll fall out of the light.
With darkness all around me…
In the days to come…
I make no plans, nor weep in my sorrows.
For Your hands guide my past, present, and future tomorrows.
Even when the darkness encroaches upon me…
Take away my sorrow.
No need to beg or borrow.
I’m so glad that Your hands wrap around me.
I was lost, until You found me.
Transforming a boy to a righteous man.
Yes, thank you Lord for protecting me.
I’m in Your Hands, I’m in Your hands.
I journey on this path, best friend in hand, my only companion…my pen.
Awaiting Your plan.
May Your iridescent presence flow unto me…
Lightening the burden on my essence with Your brightest of beams.
Making each step a glide…
As if my feet had wings.
Passing through all the pain I encounter in life…
Like grains of sand…
For when the pain & burden become too much…
I remember…
I’m in Your hands, I’m in Your hands.
You not only uplift my spirit.
You enlighten my mind…
Transcend words to my soul…
That my pen puts on lines.
Guide me to a goal...
For without You in my vision…I’d be blind.
Even though, I have eyes.
I wouldn’t be able to see the plan.
Take away those eyes and I’d still have vision because…
I’m in Your hands, I’m in your hands.
