ME

I'm like a trumpet

wanting to be heard

preachin' the good news

of GOD and his word

I'm like a poem flowin' so smooth

being gentle and easy

with every move

I'm like a food processor

mixing things up

jumbling and bubbling

and crackin' you up

I'm like a bonfire

seen for miles

trying to spread joy

and sing your smile

I'm like a teacher

trying to teach

spreadin' knoledge

to all that I reach

I hope that I bring you

peace in a way

that makes you smile

day after day

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
