    I'm sorry

    How was I to know,
    or even possibly care,
    that she was stuck outside,
    while you were laying there?

    I know how this goes,
don't play me for a fool,
I guess this is the end,
    my words were overruled.

    I just wanted to say,
Just wanted to let you know,
I love you and I'm sorry,
I guess it's time to go.

    TIme for my departure,
    My forever regretted goodbye,
But how could you say you love me,
and look me in the eye?

    You're so good at lying,
    and so convincing to,
but it's the truth when I say,
    "I'm sorry, I love you."

hmmm interesting mind to craft these words. well done poet!

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
