    Poem Commentary

    A friend asked me to write a poem about Michael Jackson. I think he was a musical genius but I didn't understand the person. All the people I know who personally knew him said he was the nicest most loving person they ever met.

    I'M STILL THERE


    IM STILL THERE


    Can you hear me in the wind?
    My heart is where my love begins
    I said, where there is love I'd be there

    I always wanted to do good
    They often just misunderstood
    Still, think of me and know that I am there


    Pain and sorrow don't reign here
    It's salvation they hold dear
    I had to leave , but know that I'm still there


    Brothers don't you weep for me
    For death  I  hope will set me free
    And in your hearts I'll always be
    Yes,  know that I'll be there.

    Awww... this poem is so touching and a great tribute to Michael. I loved him as an artist and despite his negative publicity I have remained a fan of his. He will be very missed. That line of your poem "I said, where this is love I'd be there" leaves a mark on the soul for anyone who loved this man. Beautiful...

    He was one of the greatest entertainers this world had to offer, too young to die, i was shocked when i found out he passed. thank you for dedicating a poem to him

    Thank you I cannot believe he is gone. many people truly loved Michael and no matter what they had to say about him he was a great talent
