    I'm Throwing Rainbows Now

You were in my head all the time, always.
Like a cloud overshadowing my thoughts.
It was the exact shade of your blue eyes,
The very same beautiful blue of the sea.

    You were constantly there,
    Affecting me and my ways.
You were there all the time,
It changed me for the worse.

But the weather passed after a while,
    The beautiful cloud blown away.
I kind of miss it, but not enough
Too send away my newfound sun.

    It shines down on me,
    Bad weather far away.
    It lights me up now,
And I am free to shine.

    I’m throwing rainbows now,
    Glittering like a diamond.
Because I’m free to be me,
    Your intoxicating self gone.

So take that and think about your ways.
Maybe you won’t hurt the next girl like me.
You’ll let her sun shine without a cloud in the sky,
And you can be her stars in the night.
