    IMMORTAL LOVE

Immortal is a mother’s love that no one can define
It does not stop upon that day they leave the nest behind
With the good and past the bad, no matter what they do
A mother’s love is an open door that beckons them on through.
When times are hard and tear may fall a mother’s love embraces
No matter what the fears were of, a mother’s love erases.
To her it was just yesterday when little hands entwined
Leaving marks and finger prints on walls and window blinds
But then the time came to pass the day you left her home
But as you walked into the world you did not walk alone
Down the roads and over the years her love has guided your ways
Immortal is a mother’s love, and immortal her love will stay.
