Immortality

Immortality

I look in the mirrior screaming
I see no meaning
They all look at me the same
As if i have no name
I do not exist in this reality
I am surrounded by their brutality
They see  me passing by
And they all turn a blind eye
I feel so cold
I used to be so bold
Nothing is the same
It is not so tame
What will you do
When it all crashes down around you
Will you run the other way
Or will you stay
I stand tall
Against them all
It kills me to see
Way they look at me
They do not see
The real me
They do not care
All they do is stare
I look in the mirrior
And I see no meaning
I push these feelings down
So they can not be found
I take their brutality
And make it my Immortality

I defintley liked this poem. I liked the story it tells. I also liked how it put feelings into words.

thank you.it is one of my favorites that i have written.i think its because it all just poured out.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
