    Impulsive Poetry

                                      “The Feeling pt.1”

    The pictures getting clear

    In this snow glob world

    Turned up and over

    All shookin’ up

Just when I thought they had settled

Shards of pain sting once again

So let me put my blinders back on

    Don’t let me see

    That I’m

    Stitched and scared

    That I’m rubbing the ghosts

    Of razor marks

My vanes are over flowing with pain

    Screaming for me to CUT!

    BLEED OUT!

                                     “The Act”

    Skin breaks as

    I rake razors across

    My mind grows insanely calm

    It’s just another day

    Just another battle with

    The demonds in my head

                                      “The Feeling pt.2”

    The feeling of tears falling

    From my eyes

    More and more

    Questions!

    Am I ready to change?

Am I just chained to, this side of the leaf?

Am I wrong in enjoying the rush?

    What next?

                                     “The TRUTH”

    I’m not ready to stop

    I don’t want to

Get to the root of my problem(s)

    The truth is

    IGNORANCE IS BLISS

    Or at least it was

Well, poem wise-Every corner of this piece is great!-The form is beautiful-Word choices are intelligent and well thought out-love that!-Now the content-Yep!-You're screamin your compulsion!-Proud that you are! It's a step in understanding the shit you go through when you cant shush the mind from taking over!I love that you broke it down like this.Self-observation can be dangerous, but when all else fails-it can also be the savior of the situation!-dont forget,Im here!-I mean EVER,ok?and I get it.~One more thing. The imagery is SO great in this piece that I got the chills while I read! This is good Christina-damn good.Im proud of the way you write!-smile.

Thanx! Even though I haven’t cut in like forever (8months), that feeling & the desire never goes away. I just have to learn to control. And I can’t begin to thank you and Word Slinger enough, not just for giving me real feed back beyond “its good”, but for your support. Thanx

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
