IN CHRIST'S IMAGE

IN CHRIST'S IMAGE

Every person has a view
Opinions most hold strong
Never giving any space
To say at times we're wrong..

Surrendering takes blind faith
though, a mustard seed at least
This size we all can bear
Unless you love the beast...

Evil is within
The ego and the self
Battle for the win
You can pick your help

Though, my image is of Christ
Tell me what that means
Maybe I have tried so little
I'm less than any being

If were born in your image
Does one hold more command
While others feel no rejection
Though, The meek do all they can

Does our image hold equal souls
All hearts they beat the same ?
A knowledge we all comprehend
Our destiny is made

Are we born with equal sin
Forgiven by Christ's blood
The day you gave your son for us
Such pain that caused great floods

When lightning flashed across the sky
The thunder roared despair
Was it then you said "My Child"
You're equal in compare

Lord, I ask these questions
My ignorance is clear
The absence of your wisdom
I clearly need to hear

Some faiths our carved in stone
Their life concrete with self
Others struggle endlessly
Pray for any help

When I feel I'm at my end
It's then you carry me
I know there is an answer Lord
Please, help this child see

My ignorance seeks the truth
My thirst does not run dry
I want to see pride reflecting
Straight from My Lord's eyes

"You feel your hearts confused
your eyes alone can't see"
Some visions are deceiving
Leave other souls to ME

"Let your heart be kind
my lessons shall be learned "
"In the end your given equally
by what I feel you've earned

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
