    IN EVERY STAR

The 2nd day of November, the year 2003
I was able to let go of what was bothering
me... It was a Sunday, and I was 3rd in line
for a psychic reading in the room next to
    mine.
My turn finally came, she asked me my name,
and from that day forward my way of
    thinking changed.
Peace of mind consumed me with each word
she spoke, and my worries diminished as
    my spirit awoke.
My lower lip quivered as tears filled my eyes
because Casey spoke to me through this
    woman's disguise..
He told me everything I needed to know
about all my fears that I now could let go.
It was a year ago this month that he got to
fly from this physical world to his seat next
to God in the sky. From that seat where he
is always warm and has plenty to eat.....
I feel him hugging me from afar.
I see the twinkle of his eyes in every star.
Every angel that I see is the love that
    Casey shows to me.
    I miss you, son.
In the blink of an eye, you and I will again
cry the tears of joy as a mother hugs her
    little boy.

very sad, yet uplifting at the same time. I'm sorry for your loss but not sorry I read your poem. Very nicely done!

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
