In Love With the Enemy

In Love With the Enemy

Come with me
into the darkness,
where no boundaries impose.
Deep and Blue and Reaching,
the water of fate.
With a stained soul
I crouch in waiting-
knowing you hate me.
I will run and cry out
to break the agonizing calm,
for your silence blights the heart,
    and sorrow is not shame.

Nicely written, my friend... there's a tangible angst between the lines of this and I can feel your pain as I visualize you screaming into the night, begging for just a little communication. Well done.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
