In my saddest hours

In my saddest hours

In my saddest hours
I have seen
the whole world falling in on me.
nowhere to run
nowhere to hide
I found myself in a place and just cried
looked outside what did I see
an empty land of sand following me,
no water to drink
nor food to eat,
I waited for more than an hour or so
for a little more strength
to carry me through
at that last second of that hour
it sadly did not come true,
no strength was found
so I began to run
nowhere to go
I feel so dumb
the walls of the mountain
are closing in
the sky is collapsing on me
I better swim
in the water I see
of course no water just a mirage
in front of me
trials are made to strengthen a man
with more responsibility on his hands
I will be caused to carry trials in my life
falling apart inside
hopping someday I will feel no pain
of the sorrow I have been introduced to time and time again
it will pass
it always does
but when is the question
let it be undone
where I can find peace of mind
soul and will
knowing I’m not controlled
by any kind of fear
the kind that wakes you in the middle of the night
or in your daily things you do
sad enough things like this do come true
each day that I find hard to walk a fine line
ready to fall off in despair
no peace is found no not anywhere.
So beware
of your
Saddest hours.

Sadness and despair are intensely felt by many these days. Hope you are just writing about it, and are ok yourself.

I write what's on heart myself or others have gone thru

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
