    In Toto

     My face is an "error".
    It "could not be found".
    On this site,
    with modern technology,
    it still was too much
    "too big a file";
    a noiseless sound.

    Upload and modify,
    with every attempt
    I did try
    to show myself
    in my best light.
    I gave it a good fight.

    I cannot show myself,
    despite my attempts.
    I'm like the three stooges;
    except I'm the fourth one, Shemp.

    When it comes to connectivity
    and identity
    it is very frustrating
    to achieve neither
    due to technology.

    My pencil never talks back
    or questions what it, or I,
    lacks.

    You'll just have to accept that I exist,
    sans photo,
    I am in toto.

    Nice poem. I love a poem that makes me feel amused. They are the best kind. I posted my picture just fine, but when I tried to download into my file of pictures that was another story and it took me a while also.

    great sense of humor. All this from one battle to include your picture, it's amazing what we artists can do with too much thought. lol! That aside I enjoyed the flow of this piece.

    What a sense of humor. Most poems are filled with pathos. It is good to not take yourself toooooooooooooo seriously. It is also a good poem.

    Thanks! Yeah, this site "vexed" me when I tried to post my pic, and somehow I learn how to speak Latin when I am vexed. ;) It isn't polished or planned. Just a one time visceral firing off; like most of what I write (though usually I write four drafts starting with this one as the nucleus). Nice to meet you! :) I do like humor and rhyme when it comes to words, and pathos is great but often it becomes a stereotype or just out and out mimicry. Nobody needs a poor retelling of a story that wasn't true in the first place, is my belief.

    Thank you. It's a bit trite, but this stupid system vexed me. You can always tell that, because somehow I learn how to speak in Latin when I'm vexed . . .
