    Poem Commentary

I wrote this poem when I had traveled to new york city and got a feel of the city

In transit (Inner- city blues) part. 1

The perils I have to come to terms with have become apparent
    Days spent
    Hours forgotten
    Moments I try to recapture...I can't
Descriptions of time that doesn't paint clear the picture
But minutes that doesn't seem to matter, I remember so well
Catch phrases of emotion rambling through unclaimed memories
I need a conclusion that will conduct itself through time
I need a reason that will fit that puzzle piece I call a question
I need a light to see clearly through this fog of obsession
I am restricted of time and space
Back again to reclaim nights misplaced
And my soul has yet to see departure
Yet to see a given destination
    Is there an explanation?
While in trail and error I tend to wander
From city to city in transit
Yet I always appeared on the outside to be...
    Past the time ...
