Poem Commentary

Atheism

Indecency

You shield yourself so delicately
Against the cold hard stare
Of the neighboring pacifists
Who can only grant such kind words
"I'll pray for you"
A promise that scars your ears
With every indecent thought
Of a world so quick to watch you fall.
These are god's tears crying for you
But there is no magic in the rain,
No scent just silence
Of the heaven above you.
In all your indecency
Just know that I still love you
Without a word today
You are anything less than worthy.
Step away and find your freedom
There is nothing here to hold you sane
Nothing of this is a lie
It's just what you chose to believe.

simply simply wonderful. I felt that one in my heart. infinite number of prayers back at you

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
