Darkest thoughts within my weary head…
Filthy… “get up!” and “out of this bed!!”
“I feel bad, so blue… so very sad
Teary, wishing, praying to be glad
“I don’t want to stay inside my self hate”
Knowing this life is just not my fate,
Wanna be rescued from this place
Could I have fallen from God’s grace?
If a change of mind would change my heart
Then stop asking, “this world to depart!”
Medicines go down harder each day
There has to be another, better way!
Please, pray longer and louder for me?
“Sinking lower still, God, can’t you see?!”
“I think You do, but show me You care,
Won’t you pick me up and hold me there?”
