Innocense

Once I am lost, I am never found.
Once I am destroyed, I can't be rebuilt.
You are born with me, to me you were bound.
As you grow older, I am lightly felt.
Of me you are aware, but yet you don't know.
Yet suddenly, I'm gone, never to be replaced.
That moment, or day, is something your life book will show.
We might meet again, you might see me on anothers face.
But I will never again be yours, because, I am Innocense...

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
