Internal Efferent

    Internal Efferent

Murky emotions no smooth way out
Left to traverse and thrash about

Lifting like waves without a soul
    Windswept inner rising black hole

    Inadequate words creating divisions
    Making erratic thought collisions

Now briefly silent, held, clamped shut
    Echoing WHAT....................................

    Constrained, sealed out against escape
    Behavior apes

    The inner-muse
    Wayward feeling ruse

    Grunting frustration seething inside
At what point will it finally subside

    Dismissing blocking running flow
The angst of writers you too know

    Mummified expressions sealed within
    Loss of vital vision therein

    Hunker down
    This too shall drown

    Cleansing out this hidden field
    Until clarity's return revealed

Well, If you had writers block, the writer within lamented most eloquently. I love it!

Well you see, I wanted to write a love poem that spoke my heart for valentine's day to the one I love and for unknown reasons the ability to put my thoughts into form choked up at the throat chakra and could not develop a way to communicate. It was very odd indeed. But, the block has since moved and the chakra is clear to communicate most of the time now. Thank you for reading this and commenting thoughtfully about your insights as you read.

Interesting view on writers block and being unable to get the emotions out. Nicely done.

I am not clear on what your "angst" is here. It's deeply abstract & maybe cryptic, and it's going over my head. I am unable to latch on to any feelings which leaves me asking for an explanation. But that's just me.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
