    Into Darkness

I instinctively thought, this day would never
come, well it is here now,how can I feel
    this numb.

I always told you how I felt deep inside,do
you feel the pain,or has your pain already
    subsided.

You were there...I saw you in the flesh,
but I never knew who you were,so I
    tried to keep things fresh.

    Sweetheart I believe,there is a dark-
ness in your heart,If only you had
    shared with me,both our hearts
would not have been ripped apart.

You so easily think,it is me who is
    to blame,but running away,does
not hide your claim to shame.

It will only get harder,if you choose
    to cement this repressed door,
if only you trusted me,I could have
given you the key,to unlock that
    sacred door.

This sacred door ,which has made
a good girl gone wild, does she know,
her first priority, should be her child.

It is unfortunate for her, that she has
feelings of neglect,Its just the little things
shes not being taught, which are dicipline
    and respect.

She is a very sweet girl, with every beat
to her heart, she also knew how to tear,
what was left of two broken hearts.

I never asked you to choose between
your daughter and I,but the way you
handled it,was like leading an animal
    to be slaughtered.

You have always found a way,to justify
your inner lore, but the answers are still
    being repressed,within the decor,of those
    dungeons doors.

It is now time to board my separate flight,
I am very sad,I sit here in darkness, asking
    to be shown the light.

    Ive asked,begged,and pleaded, for us
to get it right, but her heart starts to
tremble, its time to shut down for the
    night.

Every time I thought, we ventured into
that forever state of mind,It was your
    actions,not words,that caused great
    emotional decline.

You can say what you want to,and
this may make you feel temporarily
ok,but the real truth lies, within those
    inner walls of decay.

Sweetheart I love you, this is true
as of today, but what you've done to me,
    compares with the crocodile hunter,and
    his encounter with the stingray.

    Sharing,talking,these are all things of
the past, you knew what you were doing,
    the walls of decay,held steadfast.

Go to the next one, where it all starts with
peaches and galore, but be aware my love,
they may also possess dark dungeons and
    sacred doors.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
