    Irish Cliché

     

    Neither give cherries to pigs nor advice to a fool

    The old pipe gives the sweetest smoke

    Men are like bagpipes no sound comes from them until they're full

    Don't let your tongue cut your throat

     

    A greyhound finds food in its feet

    Never trust a spiteful man

    He knows how many grains to a bushel of wheat

    It's easy to knead when meal is at hand

     

    Better April showers than the breadth of the ocean in gold

    There's little value in the single cow

    Handfuls make a load

    If you meet a red-haired woman,you'll meet a crowd.

    I loved this all the way through, can hear the Blarney in every verse....and you are right about meetin' a redhead...I am one! A joy from beginning to end! mlea

    Not sure how much of this is Irish, or cliché, but I smiled all the way through. My fave: Don't let your tongue cut your throat!
