    IT BEGINS ANEW

                    

    And so it begins
    eyes open wide
    a gentle soul screams
    a prisoner within
    longing for a simple embrace
    but there is none.
    The windows of his soul
    pour forth their rain
    invisible to others
    but just as real
    as the unseen lightening
    tearing at the fleshy heart
    shredded like string cheese
    oxblood in color, wet, warm
    yet soon cold; curdled
    death waiting eagerly
    to claim its trophy;
    a heart from a battle lost
    and the stilled
    silent screams
    of a
     man.

    Judging by some of your works, our pasts have similar happenings. I have covered this topic in several of my own writes. Thanks for sharing a piece many can relate to. k

    Vividly told in stark sadness. Excellent imagery intertwined into a story that cries for more to be read! (When loneliness calls...don't answer the door)
