Poem Commentary

Realy think about this one and the things others are going with out. Do you know someone going with out, some one that needs help? A strainger you could lift up. What are you going to do about opening the door to their posibilitys? Well start thinking and DO!!!

It Could Be Worse

There are worse things in life then going without

Sometimes living with, is the worst thing that could happen

Today I have nothing to eat

But I could have a family to feed and nothing to eat

I am not well this week and have no insurance to help get well

But it could be one of my children ill and me helpless to care for them

My house is desperately in need of repair. The cold comes in and the rain drips threw the roof

But it could be winter in the north and I have no home and no place to go.

My job sucks and they don’t care how hard I work, I receive no raise or vacation

But I could be without a job

Today all my friends are busty and I’m board

But my free time could be due to having no friends no family, totally alone

Today I am lost not sure of how to get thru my day and night is coming soon

But my grasp on hope could have let go and loss turn to desperation

See, it could be worse and with all the Buts it could still me worse.

Thank God today you have room for possibility

This is a good call to remembrance. Most of us in America have it pretty good. There may be someone that lives near and we have no idea that they are all hungry in that family. Because some people are too ashamed to ask. I think about that a lot.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
