The days and nights and things you missed

Conversations with your meal

What will I do today
Evening comes, prepare the meal

Fast and easy to please the gut
Holding a hand on a evening walk, to watch a show with embrace

I'll stay home and turn in early
Holding the breath, the beat of a heart, the comfort warmth of rest

Covers tucked, pillow held, the quite of a room
It's not these things that are missed
