    It Was Somewhere Between...

     It was somewhere between - looking for the right words to say, laughing at stupid jokes, pretending to be upset to see how much we actually cared, telephone calls till 4 AM - that I fell in love.

    It was somewhere between those same events that I lost my grip on what was real and what was a dream.

    It was somewhere between those same events that you started to pull away.

    It was somewhere between those evens that the foundation we built had been eroded by the sea and was starting to crumble.

    It was some where between - the long weekends away from me, making sure you kept your distance, making sure that what we had that we could have had) was fair to everyone (except me), being upset but pretending we're fine, arguments we swore didn't matter, telephone calls till 4 AM - that I realized that no matter what I say or do you've pulled away too far for me to pull you back in.
