Poem Commentary

I wrote this during a divine day, one where all things felt perfect and free!  I love the memory of it...

Jazzy Breezes

Today is perfectly cool
Slightly overcast with a
Sensational breeze that
Sometimes heightens its spirit
And expands itself to wind...
I am feeling mellow
And energized all at once
Miles Davis is the perfect soundtrack
To this jazzy day
And I am inspired to get
Jazzy myself
So I lean back into
The openness of being,
Of this moment...
I close my eyes and
Feel the breeze blow
Across my face
And I wonder,
What could be more important than this?
This perfect alignment of forces
That is this day
That I am
That I feel at one with
I like this groove
I think I'll play it for awhile
Settle into it like a snug hug
And I can feel every note
That Miles blows
Maybe it is he who is making
All this wind
This day loves this music
Jazz feels like me today
Mellow and driven all at once
Laid back sax but driving drums
Pushing the beat forward
Making it move like a locomotive
Chug-a-chug-a-chug-a-chug-a
And upright bass notes sprinkle over top
While high hats keep it steady
Keep it constant
Keep the basic foundation and structure
Letting the piano decorate and adorn
Little pretties everywhere
And the breeze dances upon me
So I sink even deeper
Into this sweet charm
And wrap myself in it
This day I know heaven....

what a great appreciation for nature and music you have trocka7. rhythm is as old as the first heartbeat and the pulse of our very lives. to be in tune with this inner connection and nature at any given moment together... is a gift to be treasured. these thoughts that show your what you are, and what you are... is aware :D.

I like the delicate sound of a saxaphone it soothes and relaxes my mind like this poem. This was a great write.

Poetry is what is lost in translation.
