     What if Jesus was just a genius
    And Mary was borderline psychotic
    What if she slept with another man
    And then explained this elaborate story to Joseph
    The greatest of fathers, to never lose his love
    She was so sincere and trustworthy
    So when the word spread like a virus
    The wise men and believers began to follow
    The beauty of story telling, such a wonderful thing
    I can say a man who has walked upon thin ice
    Has walked upon water
    All of his brothers, the disciples
    Students of a genius writing books
    Through the expansions of minds
    The rumor has spread
    As each nation contributes to their religion
    Their story
    I cherish you
    Story teller of the heavens
    I’m sorry Jesus
    For you could not attend your fathers funeral
    Is that why you disappeared all those years
    To the middle east
    Through the mountains and the rain
    You prayed to God
    You can only perpetuate his memory after death
    But I want to meet your family
    Where am I going?

    A journey with questions at hand. Another great poem from one of the best poets on the site. Keep posting my friend and i will be the first to jump on the reading wagon. Can't wait to see what comes next. Of course this one rates a ten as well. Just perfect.
