Jesus Wept

Jesus Wept

People have ears, but their hearts will not hear.
Deadoned by sin, year after year.
Hating the light, hiding in darkness of fear
They've crossed over and their conscience is seared.
Don't cast your pearls to these dogs of dispair.
Greedy and selfish in their ungodly nightmares..
They'll turn and hurt you, they really dont care.
With wisdom we need know, to where cast the seed..
On hearts who are crying, on hearts that bleed.
Who want deliverence and to be loosed from their cage..
Who know they're in bondage and more than a slave.
Lost sheep are they and for us do they wait.
To bring this good news of this Salvation so great!
We are entrusted for Father gave us command..
We are accountable and in judgement we stand.
This is the glory of the reason we're here..
So onward seasoned warrior, in your eye with a tear
We must reach them, and remember don't fear..
The promise to be kept, for them, Jesus wept.

The great commission that we baptize and spread the gospel so that the word may be fulfilled by our flesh now that we do the work of the one who dwells in our temple that holy spirit of Jesus Christ I weep in my heart every day for those who will not listen and pray one day they will all seek their own redemption. This poem reminds me of the wedding invitation by the king......Matthew 22:2-14 Many are invited as we cast out the seed but only a few are chosen. God Bless BikemanRJ

this really rocks on the Rock of Ages! Great structure in descript and punctuated delivery! I love it, and to think it's based on the shortest scripture in the Bible. I love the heart you have revelaed in loving those that Jesus loves. thanks for sharing your good burden so skillfully!~

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
