    Join Me in the Darkness

    Lift your lips
    to the cup-
    drink the nector
    of the Gods.
    Release your doubts,
    let go your fears-
    the world you leave
    no longer sees,
    the mortal shell
    of who you were;
    dead are you
    to all you knew.
    Your soul is damned-
    come with me now
    time decrees
    you keep your vow.

    i love the subject that was almost portrayed here. just a bit of a melody would have made this perfect.
