Journey To Justice

Dedicated to the family and friends of Michael Wayne Richardson. They took a stand for justice out of pure love and respect for a modern hero who lived for the common good of people. He will be dearly missed by all that marveled at and benefited from his personal devotion to human kindness.

I want to ease your aching heart,
take away your pain;
let me gently take your hand
walk you through the rain.

Over the roaring thunder,
cries of justice will they hear.
lightning only brightens our path,
truth, we never fear.

Gales of change begin to blow,
help to dry your tears.
Shield you from gusting wind,
until the gray sky clears.

Never ever leave your side,
I'll hold you, keep you warm.
Be there through your darkest nights,
share worries through the storm.

The sun will warm your face again,
your heart will start to mend.
A rainbow in the distant sky,
a promise from your friend.

Jesus could have written this one. I love it.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
