JOY AND PAIN
Bruised and confused,
Did I win or lose.
Saw a vision, the road turned,
Of course I won, because I learned.
Fast lane! floor it! no brakes installed!
never saw the turn, never saw the wall.
Blinded by a light so bright, it burned into my heart,
Be what I seek, it might, which drove me from the start.
Maybe I was wrong,
That's only in a movie or a song.
But why then do we have feelings, if we can't trust what they say,
And why can't we act upon it, if we know we feel that way.
Well life is just a mystery, a constant ponder in our brain,
And love is kinda twisted, the way it causes joy and pain.
Before I'm through, you must understand,
Although it didn't go, quite the way I planned.
What I tried too hard to create, still has a happy end,
I can't complain, for I have gained, a forever cherished friend.
