    Poem Commentary

OUR FIRST PARENTS, BY THE ORIGINAL SIN HAVE CONTAMINATED EVERY MAN BORN OF A WOMAN WITH SIN, BASED ON THE BIBLICAL TEN COMMANDMENTS, MY WORK REMINDS MAN THAT HE IS TOO SINFUL TO JUDGE HIS FELLOW SINFUL MAN. IF HE DOES, HE RISKS BEING JUDGED AND CONDEMNED BY THE ALMIGHTY GOD- OF- ALL- SUPREMACY.

    JUDGE THEM NOT.

    You think,
It was they who were serving other gods before the Lord,
                                                                                 Judge them not.
It was they who were using the name of the Lord in vain,
                                                                                 Judge them not.
It was they who were not keeping the Sabbath day  holy,
                                                                                 Judge them not.
It was they who were not honoring  their    fathers    and
                                                                      mothers,
                                                                                 Judge them not.
It        was      they        who             were         killing,
                                                                                 Judge them not.

    You even believe,
It         was    they      who      were commiting adultery,
                                                                                 Judge them not.
It         was       they       who            were      stealing,
                                                                                 Judge them not.
It was they who were  bearing  false   witnesses  against
                                                       their       neighbors,
                                                                                 Judge them not.
It was they who  were  coveting  their  neighbors'  wives,
                                                                                 Judge them not.
It was they who were  coveting  their  neighbors'  goods,
                                                                                 Judge them not.
Do you know the story of the serpent,Eve,the apple  and
                                                                        Adam?
                                                                         Then, judge  no more;
lest the "Judicious-Judge"judges you for judging  unjustly!

This powerful poem based on the Biblical Ten Commandments will certainly appeal to those who believe in a Supreme God and in the "rules dictated" by those men, the authors of the Bible. Poetically, this is a solid piece of creative writing executing perfect meter, flow, and diction. Thought I can not relate to the overt religious message nor to a Supreme God, creatively it is masterful. Bravo!

IF IT'S NOT TOO LATE, LET ME SAY 'THANK-YOU' FOR HAVING APPRECIATED MY FIRST POEM: "JUDGE THEM NOT" I WAS TOO 'FRESH' TO KNOW EVERYTHING BY THEN!

"lest the "Judicious-Judge"judges you for judging unjustly! " The sound effect and choice of words are simply awsome. I call it the "J" line. "Judge them not" is sobering. It will touch every soul with a heart.. Great first posting. Af.

THANKS FOR HAVING APPRECIATED MY FIRST WORK: JUDGE-THEM-NOT. I WAS TOO 'FRESH' TO KNOW CERTAIN FACTS!!!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
