    Who are we,
    Really?
    Do we even know?
    Or are we just here,
    Thinking that we do?
So caught up with our day to day lives,
That we forget to pause and take notice,
To take that second to breath,
    And let thoughts flow.
Never taking chances that might bring us down,
But always staying in our mind.
Are we the things we have done?
Or the things we did not?

The things we have done are of course the things we did not. The future is a blank canvas or not. Are the done things already projected on my screen of tomorrow? Is there no opportunity for a coat of fresh paint? What must one do to make it 'new' ? And why is that such a stumbling block? What is exactly wrong with the old again? I have only one thought to submit-'The past should be a guide post not a hitching post.' Fly free my dear. Fly free.

I thank you for the comment, but, how I have written has nothing to do with the future, though, it could be argued by saying this that it has everything to do with the future, since it brings your next comment, ha ha. BUT, what I mean, is that when you sit back and think of the past, most tend to think of what they could have done differently, but, not knowing how they would be HAD they done what they could have. So, we are the results not as to what we have done, but what we did not do. :)

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
