    JUST CALL ME PAIN

i take you to the floor
with the strength of a hundred men
no sooner than you pick yourself up
    i’ll do it over again
you fill your brain with pills
to numb the effect i have
    the fix is only temporary
    just like an oily salve
i can make you curse out loud
make a fist ready to fight
you’ll bite the hand that feeds you
grip the wheel with knuckles white
you pray that you will die
    asking for salvation
but still you’re here and nothing’s changed
the Lord must be on vacation
i know you don’t deserve this
but i really don’t pick and choose
i don’t deal the cards or roll the dice
sometimes you win sometimes you loose
    i’ll keep you running circles
    like water down a drain
are you still wondering who i am
    just call me pain

You brought pain to life and gave it an identity, used it as a character....very, very cool! This was a great write!

Great, descriptive poem here. I enjoyed reading it. I especially love the way it starts... and the imagery that shows varied degrees of pain. Clever.

    True that aal the way

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
