Just When

Just When

Just when,
you think all is lost
and that everyone has
once again turned their back
to you.
You begin to slip
the grasp of all sanity.
However once given
up and slipped away,
a comatose state
kicks in and reality
is but a dream.
The dream never fades
as one walks
the street and
realizes he can
live a dream so real.
Once realization is
set upon the face
of a lost soul
the grasp of
reality's dream deminishes.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
