    Keeping in Touch

    Through the years certainly

    Leading distinct different lives

    Wishing we could have stopped

    The hands of time

    Never once regretting

Never putting our lives on hold

    Embracing those moments

In the midst of the lives we chose

    In the distance

    Never once forgotten

A lot of years have slipped away

    Certainly aware of the voices

    Echoing in our hearts

    Facing life’s challenges

    Revisiting the past our

    Hearts like hands, intertwined

    As time is once again

    Before us

A lot of years have slipped away

    In actuality

    Finding time stood still

    Finding our hearts

    Always kept in touch

    Knowing now

    They always will

    Keeping in touch

    Is staying focused

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
