    Kids

The crown of a mother & father,

A piece of history in the making,

So how did we end up with millions of young man & woman,

Looking for a leader & we did not have the means to supply one?

Yet we left them to learn the ways of broken homes fathers gone,

Gangs & other people who were mislead by the streets!

    Kids,

Some would called them a walking living sponge,

    &

    We allow the streets,

    &

Dirt of the world to rub off on them,

    How could this be?

What happen to the dream of Dr. King put in our ears?

We have achieved freedom but lost our soul & oneness as a price!

    Proverbs teaches;

“To train a child & it will never depart from him”

    So if that is so,

What type of example are you giving children around you?

    Surely, our kids are watching!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
