    Kitty in the Rafter

    Haha!They’re here my people loyal,

    In shadows I peer over the wood unseen,

    They try to talk to me but I stare,

    I just want to watch don’t touch me please,

    Plank to plank across the room,

    I make my watcher rounds,

    Let them sing and quote,

    Their writings bold,

    And leave me crumbs for later,

    With eyes allknowing I consort,

    With my friends the house spirits,

    I keep my place an honor great,

    Above the show unknowing,

    For I am the one and only ,

    The great kitty in the rafter.
